Anthony Pellicone

Anthony Pellicone is a postdoctoral researcher working on a project affiliated with CMNS, UMIACS, the College of Education, and the iSchool. Anthony received his Ph.D. from The University of Maryland iSchool. His research interests are centered on how people play, learn, and socialize through digital games and play. He is currently working on a project to create a video game that engages underrepresented youth with concepts from the domain of cybersecurity. Previously he has worked on projects involving STEM education through alternate reality games, the culture and practice of video game streaming on Twitch.tv, assessing learning through games and play, as well as collaborative play-based museum experiences.
